(More customer reviews)A neighbor has a nearly identical Wahl rechargeable pet clipper, so I thought this would be a good buy, as it's cheaper than retail.Unfortunately, it seems a bit underpowered.Our dog's coat is thick, and the clipper has trouble going through her fur without pulling.(Note that this isn't the same as getting caught in tangles or matting.)It just doesn't have the power of a corded model, even when used in that manner. Additionally, the blades on my unit came misaligned -- which may account for some of the pulling -- and I have not had time to take the thing apart to fix it.Although the included DVD contains detailed instructions on how to correct blade misalignment, the kit does not come with a Torx screwdriver to get the blade assembly apart.

On the plus side, the clipper is well made and comes with nearly all the attachments you might need.It's lightweight, easy to handle and holds a pretty decent charge.Also, Wahl offers lifetime free blade sharpening, provided you pay shipping.

Overall, I'd recommend this if you have a fairly easy-to-clip animal.
