(More customer reviews)I've been using trimmers for over 10 years.I started with battery-powered ones, moved up to good rechargables (2 Wahls) and was pleased well enough--until I got the Andis.
Wow! The difference between this and all my previous trimmers is the difference between a tool and toys.The Andis is much more powerful, yet surprisingly quieter.It trims more closely: I used the Wahl, and then this immediately after in order to compare them.The Andis gave me a still closer trim, with absolutely no irritation.The shape of the cutter, slender and extended, makes for extreme precision, and you can get to places you can't with other trimmers.The cord is no problem: after all, where will you use it?
The Andis is clearly built to last under professional use. It's the real deal: great performance at a great price.It saves me time and, in the long run, will save money too (all the batteries, even rechargables, only last so long).
If you care about your grooming, just get it: you'll be delighted!

(More customer reviews)I am a licenced cosmetologist. I also have three boys. With my references put down, I bought one of these trimmers for home use. Upon recieving it, it looked beautiful. Easy to keep clean. I really liked the way it cut. It was a bit heavy in the hands though. It was not too loud. I love it and have bought one for work also.It cuts right up to the skin and gives perfectly clean edges without a trace of hair.Reliable. Good price for the product performance too.REMEMBER: These are not clippers that cut hair, it's for close up cutting only (like a razor/shaver).

(More customer reviews)The model advertised and ordered on Aug 29, 2009 was no. 9878-511, the model they shipped to me was the much outdated 9876-536, which doesn't have the charging light, cannot be used while plugged in to the wall (corded use) and doesn't have a storage pouch. The e-mail Cosmetic Solutions and Amazon.com sent to confirm my order just stated: WAHL TRIMMER BEARD & MUSTACHE XL and Wahl Groomsman Cordless Trimmer, no info on the model number, leaving themselves ample wiggle room to ship any model they wanted. I trusted the vendor since it was selling through Amazon.com, but I was fairly pissed when I saw what they sent. I already own a Wahl rechargeable trimmer, just like the one they sent, which works well but has a very poor battery life and can not be used in corded mode, so I know exactly the type of bait and switch trick they did. I live in Mexico so it would be too expensive to return the item for an exchange or refund. But my 1st experience shopping with "Cosmetic Solutions" was bad, I would never order anything from these folks ever again.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item about a month ago. I work overseas so I needed something that I can use every two days or so and charge. (due to the high voltage). It came faster than I expected which is good but it lacked the close cutting ability that I needed. It was far from the description and I personally think it costs to much. I've used it a few times since and I just noticed that one of the teeth already broke. I take care of it and charge it every two days but its better for trimming than close cuts. Its an ok item but I would look for something else. I was lucky that I brought my original T-Blades and I then picked up a converter (the higher the better) which makes the them more manageable.

(More customer reviews)These gaurds are great for any of the Andis clippers.They also fit the Oster Fast Feed clippers.The magnets are super strong and the gaurd won't budge when you are cutting you're hair.I have alot of different clipper gaurds but these are the best way better than Speed -o-.

Lightweight, easy to keep clean, includes a convienient charge base. Has free gaurds and oil.There is no where to store the gaurds on the charge base, so keep a cup nearby for them.The trimmer has a T edge which is good for clipping tight corners and sharp angles.BUT the timmer is loud and doesn't have much power even when fully charged.IT DOES NOT clip close enough. Had to go over the neck with a razor still.I ended up giving the trimmer to my husband (after one day of using it in the hair shop) to trim his beard.He still has to use a razor with it though.Good for travel maybe, but not worth the money.Don't forget to get a razor if you do buy it.
