(More customer reviews)It doesn't shave as closely as I would like, but for most of my cuts I'm using a comb any way so this is not a big deal. The build quality seems to be better than other Andis units I've seen, and it's fairly easy to clean. When you disassmemble the cutting assembly completely, however, it's a bit of a dance to get Humpty Dumpty all together again.

The big disappointment is that while the cutter is ceramic, the blade is not. WTF? Also, these cermaic cutters chip and break just like their steel counterparts. While I realize that steel and/or ceramic points are naturally going to be weak (structurally), I don't think they should be so fragile- especially when they only have to cut human hair.
